FAQs

Who may go to camp?
Right now our camp is for campers in rising Kindergarten to rising 5th grade. Children must be 5 years old at the start of camp. All campers must be toilet trained.

How do I register?
Our camp is divided into three age groups. Registration is by age group. Please click the link for the appropriate age group for your child, then follow the directions to register.

When is your camp?
We offer registration week-by-week. Each week’s activities have a different theme. You will have to sign up for each individual week. We will have camp every full week while Henry County and Spalding County Schools are out, except for the week of Independence Day.
Week 1: June 2-6 – Kenya
Week 2: June 9-13 – Australia
Week 3: June 16-20 – Outdoor Exploration
Week 4: June 23-27 – Sports
OFF: June 30-July 4
Week 5: July 7-11 – Under the Sea
Week 6: July 14-18 – Solar System
Week 7: July 21-25 – Earth

What kinds of activities will camp include?
Each week’s activities are themed (see list of themes above). Camp will include outdoor time, game time, snack time, reading time, arts and crafts time, devotional time, writing time, and movie time.

How long is a week of camp?
Each week of camp is all-day, all-week: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
Camp starts at 8:00 AM and activities wind up by 4:00 PM. Late pick-up beyond 4:30 PM is not available and there will be a charge of one dollar per minute after 4:30 PM.

How do I sign up for the whole summer? What if I only want to sign up for one week?
When you register, you can sign up for one week, or all seven! Whether you want your child to have an awesome experience for a week or have a safe place to stay while they’re out of school for the summer, we welcome you to sign up for as many weeks as you need. However, we are a small camp and have limited capacity.

What about food?
Monday-Thursday: Campers will need to bring a packed lunch, plus two snacks (for morning and afternoon), and a re-fillable water bottle.
Friday: A pizza lunch will be provided (cost already included in the registration fee)

What else is required?
Camper will need to bring a bag or a backpack to carry all food items. Closed toe shoes are required. On Wet Tuesdays, campers should bring swimsuit, swim shoes, and a change of clothes.

Who is running this camp?
This camp is hosted and run by Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Camp Director is Deaconess Kate Warnke, a professional church worker with a master’s degree.
